RACE DAY INFO
Seattle summer weather is mild and pleasant. Average morning temperature for August is mid-60s with average wind speed of 6mph. The average daily high is 75. Days can be clear and sunny, or cloudy and overcast. Historically, there is a 25% chance of light rain.
Pets are welcome, but please remember they must be on leash at all times.
There are many parking lots throughout Seward Park and handicapped parking spots are spread out as well. Street parking (some of it free) is also available near the park. Plan to arrive early to allow time for parking and walking to the start line as spaces close by will fill up fast.
BIB & SHIRT PICK-UP
Bib & shirt pick-up will be available on Race Day, August 26 at Seward Park.
5K RACE: 7:00am – 8:15am, 10K RACE: 7:00am - 9:15am, Kids Fun Run: 7:00am - 10:15am.
Clothing Check is conveniently located between the start and finish line in Seward Park, across from Registration/Bib Pickup. Volunteers will be available to store and retrieve your bag. All bags must be clearly marked with your bib number. Under no circumstances should you bring valuables, as the Seattle Marathon Association is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
LOST AND FOUND
Any items found on the course will be brought to Clothing Check. Please see a clothing check volunteer if you have lost or found an item. All lost and found clothing not claimed at the end of race day will be donated to charity. For information on lost and found items of value, please contact the Seattle Marathon Association Office at 206.729.3660 M-F between 10 am and 4 pm.
TIMING SERVICES AND RESULTS
The race is timed using ChronoTrack tag technology. Your results cannot be posted unless the bib and tag is worn in the proper manner. Everyone on the course must be wearing a race bib. Please ensure bib/chip is fully visible in front over clothes so you can be identified in your race photos and so your time is properly recorded. For more info and instructions on proper tag use, see the Timing page.
Unofficial results will be posted near the finish line as soon as they are available. A complete listing of official results will be posted at www.seattlemarathon.org on the 10k Results page shortly after the race.

If medical assistance is required on the race course, contact one of the orange-capped radio operators, who will be able to summon emergency assistance or van transportation if required. If you drop out, please notify an aid station attendant, radio operator or anyone at the information booth at the finish line so the information can be relayed to the event support staff.

All finishers receive a complimentary, short sleeve t-shirt and goody bag. Finishers pick up their t-shirt and goody bag at Bib Pick up.

COURSE MARKINGS / SPLIT TIMES
Each mile will be clearly labeled on the race course. Split times will be called at each marker (as permitted by the number of volunteers).
WATER / AID STATIONS
Water/Aid stations are approximately every two miles. There are 2 Water/Aid Stations on the course. Refer to the course map for locations.
Talking Rain water, and Gatorade Endurance Formula sports drink will be available at each station, in addition to basic medical items and Honey Bucket portable toilets. Each aid station will remain open to support a 20 minute/mile pace.
TalkingRain is the official finish line water sponsor of the Seattle Marathon Family of Events 2018. For more information about TalkingRain water, please visit www.talkingrain.com.
Gatorade Endurance Formula is the exclusive and official sports drink of the Seattle Marathon Family of Events 2017. Gatorade Endurance Formula (Lemon-Lime flavor) is served at each aid station along the course. Gatorade Endurance Formula is a specialized sports drink that contains approximately twice the amount of sodium (200 mg per 8 ounces) of Gatorade Thirst Quencher, along with chloride, potassium, magnesium and calcium to help sustain hydration by more fully replacing what is lost in sweat. Gatorade Endurance Formula also contains a 6% carbohydrate solution (14 grams per 8 ounces), just like Gatorade Thirst Quencher, which research shows is optimal to help speed fluid back into the body and fuel working muscles. For more information about Gatorade Endurance Formula, please visit www.gatorade.com/products/endurance.
