If you need medical attention, report to the UWMC Medical Tent at the finish line or the medical booth as you enter the Victory Recovery Area. If you need help reaching the medical area, alert an SMA staff person or volunteer who can assist you. | | Chiropractic Care Washington State Chiropractic Association provides chiropractic care to race participants free of charge. Visit them at the finish line in the UW Medical Center Medical Tent or at their booth in the Victory Recovery Area. | | Massage The Washington Sports Massage Team (WSMT) provides 15-minute professional sports massages to race participants for a nominal fee of $18. Sign up in advance on your race entry form or at the WSMT booth in the Victory Recovery Area. | | Acupuncture Bastyr University provides professional acupuncture to race participants in the Victory Recovery Area. New for 2008, the service is free of charge. If you've never had acupuncture but are curious about it, here's your chance to try it out! There's no need to sign up in advance. Just stop by their booth for walk-in service. | | ^back to top^ | Entertainment | Bahia Bahia is a musical breeze from the tropics, one moment soft and lilting, hot and fiery the next. The lyrical flute of leader Manolito Fuentes surfs sinewy lines above a roaring boil of drums and percussion, while piano, guitar and bass weave lush harmonic tapestries and rhythmic counterpoint below. | | ^back to top^ | Results & Awards | Results Terminal Unofficial results will be posted in the Victory Recovery Area at the Results Terminal twenty minutes after the first runner crosses the finish line. Computers are available for you to check results throughout the day. Representatives from the timing company will be on hand to answer questions. Waiting for family or friends to finish the race? Watch as they cross the finish line on the live video feed. Awards Every finisher receives a race medal at the finish line. In addition, special awards are presented to the top finishers for both the Marathon Run and Half Marathon Run in several categories. Awards will be handed out in the Victory Recovery Area starting at 9:30am. Event Merchandise Finisher shirts and other Seattle Marathon apparel will be available at the Merchandise booth in the Victory Recovery Area. Family & Friends Welcome Your support team can watch you cross the finish line in Memorial Stadium, then help you celebrate your victory in the Victory Recovery Area. Bus Transportation After the race, enjoy free shuttle service back to The Westin Seattle. Buses are staged outside the Victory Recovery Area on Mercer Ave. Family and friends may ride for $2.
