| Thanks to all our great volunteers! | | VOLUNTEER
It takes nearly 1000 volunteers from the community to organize and run the Seattle Marathon family of events each year. Without our volunteers, there would be no race! If you cannot run this year, want to give something back to the running community, want to support a friend or family member, or simply want to be outside and see our great race and course in action, come help! All volunteers receive a long sleeve Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon 2010 Volunteer T-Shirt and the gratitude of over 10,000 participants! All volunteers names will be placed in a drawing to be held at the end of the event for a chance to win 'Gifts of Appreciation'. | | "Being a volunteer for the Seattle Marathon Association is a thrilling and rewarding experience. You have the opportunity to be right down in the mix of all the participants, the hustle and bustle of the city, as well as the exciting emotions that come with being a part of such an exhilarating local community venue. Taking the time to be involved in the community over Thanksgiving weekend is a perfect cap to a great holiday. Do what you can to be involved, and don't hesitate to volunteer. Your patronage will ensure that the marathon will continue to be a community success." Holly, Seattle Marathon Volunteer | |
