If you were to ask 5 years ago to go for a run I would have laughed a little too hard. Today I could lace up my shoes before you could finish the question. I started running a little over 4 years ago and have never looked back. After having my first little one I gained a little more weight than I planned and had trouble getting it fall off. That’s when I started running. I needed to be able to keep up with my son and after looking in the mirror one day I realized I was going to make changes in my life. I started eating healthy, making healthier lifestyle choices and I started running.
From that moment I fell in love with running.
Since I started running in 2016 I have had another little one was able to continue running for most of my pregnancy. 4 years ago if you would have asked me if this is where I saw myself I would have never guessed. Training for 5ks, 10ks, half marathons and now a full marathon I have learned how far I can push my body and how awesome it is to test my strength. Outside of running I am a mom to two amazing little ones, I am a teacher, wife. I love going on new adventures and spending time exploring with my munchkins. I am excited for this adventure with the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon and can’t wait to run with some of you!
