My passion for running in high school has only grown exponentially since. During high school, I ran cross-country and my success led to competing in the State Championship my senior year. I also ran a sub 19 minute 5K during that time. After high school, I attended Seattle Pacific University and graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. My passion for health, fitness, and running has lead me to encourage others to begin their own fitness journeys. I work closely with mothers and their families and encourage them to be the best version of themselves and work towards a fitness-minded way of life.
My first marathon was the 2016 Seattle Marathon in which I Boston Qualified with a time of 3:34:08. I have since gone on to complete 21 more marathons, 10 half marathons, and an Ultra Marathon 50K. My long term running goals are to eventually race in all 6 major marathons (Abbott World Marathon Majors) and to run a marathon in every state. Additionally, I plan to dive deeper into the world of Ultra running; I have my sights set on the Badger Mountain 100 mile Challenge for my first 100 miler. This is the same city where my running career started, Richland, WA.
I am a mother of three beautiful children. We enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, and many outdoor adventures. More recently I’ve endeavored into the world of mountaineering, in which my dear friend David and I attempted Mt. Rainier solo. Snow camping and dealing with the elements for hours on end were definitely new for me. This Mt. Rainier endeavor as our first date was unforgettable; I look up at that mountain from my Seattle home, and it holds all new meaning and deep respect.
