On Sunday, November 26, 2023, The Seattle Marathon Association, will be putting on 54th UW Medicine Seattle Marathon and Half Marathon that will run through the following neighborhoods:

Downtown

University District

Capitol Hill

Wallingford

Montlake

Portage Bay

Green Lake

Westlake

South Lake Union

 

These neighborhoods each offer a sampling of Seattle’s iconic scenery, architecture, waterways, commerce and culture. We are honored to be guests in your neighborhood and it’s important to us that we are communicating clearly with you, the neighbors.

 

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

  • Event hours: 7:00am-2:00pm on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

  • Set-up begins: around 4am on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 5th and Harrison, Seattle Center.

  • Clean-up completed by 5pm on Sunday, November 26, 2023 Seattle Center

  • We will leave your neighborhood as we found it: litter and recycling will be handled by our crew. All race-related litter will be removed by 5pm on event day.

  • We expect ~7,500 participants and spectators to be spread across the course during the event.

  • Select streets will have parking restrictions, limited access or restricted lanes between 6:00am and 2:00pm on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

  • Traffic officers will be stationed at intersections allowing traffic to pass through during gaps in runners so that street access will be available on a continuous, if delayed, basis.

We are working closely with the City of Seattle Special Events Committee to minimize the impacts of the event.  Our goal is to create an enjoyable and positive experience in your neighborhood.
