DARIGOLD FIT becomes title sponsor of Seattle KIDS Marathon

The Seattle Marathon Association and Seattle-based Darigold Inc are thrilled to announce that Darigold FIT will become the title sponsor of the Seattle Kids Marathon.
The Seattle Marathon’s mission is to empower athletes of all ages and abilities from beginners to competitive athletes no matter their age to improve their health and well-being through the power of running, fitness and community. With the support of Darigold FIT and participants of the UW Medicine Seattle Marathon, this year’s Kids Marathon will be free to the first 500 students.
At more than a century old, farmer owned Darigold is full of life and focused on the future. Their purpose extends beyond their products to how they can positively impact the communities around them. Darigold is committed to building a rich culture of engagement and excellence, where inclusion, diversity and equality are both appreciated and respected.
About the Darigold FIT Seattle Kids Marathon

In 1999 the Seattle Kids Marathon was added to the Seattle Marathon Association’s family of events. Over the years the event has allowed thousands of Seattle students to run their first marathon. The Darigold FIT Seattle Marathon is a program which allows school-aged children to complete a full 26.2 mile marathon at a rate that is fun and safe for their growing bodies: one mile at a time. Kids can participate as part of a school group or as individuals. The Program teaches record keeping as they log their first 25 miles, eat 26 healthy meals, read 13 books and complete 13 good deeds in their community. Thanksgiving weekend all participants are invited to gather at the Seattle Center to run the final 1.2 miles together under the Space Needle followed by a celebration inside the Exhibition Hall with a DJ, food and fun.
