Marjan Ashrafi

My name is Marjan Ashrafi, and I have lived in British Columbia, Canada since 1997. I am very passionate about running and incredibly excited to apply to be a 2026 UW Seattle Marathon Ambassador once again. The Seattle Marathon has always been very special to me. I first joined the event in 2015 and immediately fell in love with it, continuing to return year after year. I have been running for over 20 years and have completed more than 60 half marathons as well as several full marathons. Becoming a Seattle Marathon Ambassador in 2022 was an unforgettable experience for me. am very passionate about fitness, but running is truly my life. I also enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors, and living a healthy, active lifestyle is extremely important to me. This year, I am hoping to participate in three to four races and continue challenging myself while inspiring others to stay active.
