ELITE

Running has been a meaningful part of my life in phases. In college, I played on my basketball team and also ran in the track team for the 5K and 10K events, casually running without imagining it would become such a big part of my life years later. Between 2015 and 2018, I began running more intentionally, mostly on a treadmill, which taught me discipline and consistency. Life eventually pulled me away from the sport, but in 2023, running made an unexpected comeback, thanks to boredom from daily walks, a desire to get my dog some real exercise, and a need to quiet my mind. What started as a simple change in routine quickly became something deeply personal, grounding, and energizing. Since restarting, I’ve focused on building consistency with yearly distance goals, and along the way, personal records came naturally without even trying. Running has become a way to stay active, clear my head, and track progress while enjoying the process itself.Like many runners, I struggle with not talking about running, I try, I fail 😊. Whether sharing tips, encouraging beginners, or swapping stories with fellow runners, I love being part of a community that celebrates every mile. I’m looking forward to many more years of running, enjoying the journey, and appreciating every mile without worrying too much about the destination or the distance.
